The banks of the Thames River are almost ready to overflow as the ice breaks up in
Southwestern Ontario. Chatham sidewalks downtown are already flooding, and the mouth of the Thames River, at the Lighthouse
Cove, is completely blocked. With the mild temperatures and the increase in rain, this flood could cause some major damage
to buildings and roads.
